Web-JIVE donates site to Don R. Roberts Elementary School

Roberts Elementary School is a new school in West Little Rock, which opened its doors to elementary students for the first time on August 19, 2010.   This schools administrators, as well as its staff, its parents and its students are very committed to making it a "school of excellence."  The website for the new Roberts Elementary School, robertselem.com, was designed and donated to the school by Web-JIVE, in an effort to contribute to the city of Little Rock and its educational system.  This site contains general information regarding the school and upcoming activities, utilizing an interactive calendar, as well as contact information for all the staff members, information on the schools Media Center, its evolving Mission Statement and Vision Statement, and current Parent Teacher Association (PTA) information.

Roberts Elementary is committed to establishing a distinguished tradition of excellence in a diverse environment by nurturing, inspiring and challenging each student to value learning, respect and to always do the right thing!  Web-JIVE is proud to be a part of this awesome school and we look forward to hosting the site and watching them grow and contribute to our community!

Argenta Arts District Celebrates RazorRock Week

razorrock_logoLast night provided a fun opportunity for us to celebrate RazorRock Week in North Little Rock's Argenta Arts District!  We were able to make some new friends, sample some great beverages, listen to some fantastic music, and tell everyone about some of Web-JIVE's new products and services!

Facebook for business and personal use, combined, can work well for you!

facebookIn most cases, people tend to use their Facebook accounts for either personal or business use, but not both. However, in some instances - like a one-person business -  it can be effective to combine the two, with a little help from Facebook’s privacy features.

To distinguish between personal and business use, one approach would be to assign a Limited Profile setting to business contacts to control what they can (and cannot) see in your profile.  And always bear in mind when you do anything in Facebook, a prospect or client might see it, even if they shouldn’t have access to it. You just never know what might spill over.

Here are a few notes on creating an effective profile for business and personal use.

Use your full name -- Many women use a version with their maiden name, because some people knew them only by that name. If you’ve used other names, try to fit them in somewhere logical, such as your “Info” tab.
