WebJIVE enters the 6th Annual 103.7 Buzz-B-Q !!
As if we didn’t have enough of our time booked with website work, we had to go and enter the 6th annual 103.7 BBQ contest! While the “RibJIVE” team may have web-on-the-mind during business hours, some of our off-hours time is better spent cooking Memphis-style BBQ. Yummm….
Eric Caldwell, the founder, and CEO of WebJIVE, has been cooking BBQ ribs, briskets, Boston pork butts, and whatever else might taste good on a barbeque for about 3 years now. “With 3 years of smoking and BBQ’ing under my belt, I felt it was time to test the competitive waters. All of our friends who have tried my ribs and pork, tell me it’s some of the best they’ve had. Good BBQ, though, is very subjective in my book. Everyone has their own tastes and likes.”
Well, it’s time to put that BBQ to the test on May 15th, and see how the Web-JIVE BBQ stands up to the other Amateur Joe’s out there. We’re packing our smokers and coolers along with our favorite beverages, and headin’ to the river to cook! Come on by and see us if you’re there! We’ll be in Slot 55.
We’re also testing the waters to see if maybe, we can get a few sponsors to help out? Between now and May 15th, we’ll work up a (not so heavy) sponsor pack for those businesses that might want help out, and get a little advertisement in while they’re at it 😉 . Stay tuned or call us if you are interested!
Free Seminar, “What is the Web 2.0” ?
We all have been hearing about this term for a while, but what is the definition of Web 2.0? What does it mean to my business, and mostly, what can it do to benefit my business?
The staff here at Web-JIVE are in the same boat, which is why we like to stay on top of what’s happening, what’s relevant in the Web world, and how businesses can benefit from it. That’s why we developed this free seminar.
This seminar will introduce you to our version of Web 2.0, and the technologies behind it like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and more. What most people don’t know is, this is Web 2.0! Go figure…
This seminar is designed to show you how to combine these technologies to create your “Web Marketing 2.0” campaign and explain the power behind using them. This seminar is for a larger audience, not just Web-JIVE clients so, if you know someone who might be interested, please forward this newsletter on to them.
The Benefits of Calendars
A calendar is a tool that, if used properly, can communicate a great amount of information to site visitors. Calendars are effective when a company keeps them current and posts all items of interest to potential and current customers. This could include upcoming seminars, trade shows, sales or specials at your company, meetings of interest, or maybe reminders of deadlines like forms and fees due.
Does Your Company Need A Newsletter?
Electronic newsletters are utilized by many companies to communicate new and updated information to a large number of people with a simple email message. When utilizing a newsletter, your website should include an easy way for visitors to register (sign-up) to receive the newsletter. The actual newsletter email message you send should always include an “un-register” option for people who do not wish to receive the newsletter any longer. As a Web-JIVE customer, we can help you add this functionality quickly while providing tips and guidelines on how and when to use newsletters.
Consider SEO to drive new business
SEO can improve your rankings in search results helping your business get more online visibility. A high ranking on search engines, such as page one, can help your company to use SEO to drive qualified traffic to its site. This can result in more leads, sales, and revenue.
Voting polls allow you to solicit feedback from site visitors regarding any number of subjects. Web-JIVE sites contain a standard Voting Poll tool that can be set up and maintained with ease. A Voting Poll can allow you to ask for feedback on a current news story, or a specific product or service you offer or could offer in the future.
Getting In Contact
A Company Directory is a tool that allows site users and visitors information for departments and/or individuals at your company. Directory tools often allow the user to organize and update information from the site. Many tools allow the creation of dedicated lists of employees, members, teams or groups. Some sites may wish to control the amount of information available through custom field selection. Other sites allow access to directory information only to registered users.
